There’s always something bittersweet about the end of summer. All the things we meant to do with the extra daylight will have to wait until next year. All the friends we meant to visit at the beach will have to wait until next summer. That beautiful suntan just isn’t going to happen this year (maybe that’s a good thing). Most of the fruits and vegetables we meant to can or freeze ended up in the compost.
But there’s also something exciting about the transition into autumn. School starts – a curse or a blessing, depending on your point of view. Life returns to a more regular schedule – maybe a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your point of view. And, for those of you who can’t stand the heat, cooler weather is coming.
Drawing – From now until August 27, every time you spend $15 or more at the store we’ll enter your name in a drawing for a Makita cordless drill.
Front Porch Sale – Saturday, August 27, 9 am-5 pm. Our biggest sale of the year! You never know what might appear on the porch. Selected and seasonal items half off. We may have some special visitors as well.
